Nominations for the TechDiversity Awards 2026 – recognising diversity and inclusion in the technology sector – close on April 30.
The winners will be announced on Friday July 31, with organisers expecting more than 500 attendees at a gala Sydney event.
Journalist, author, and AI ethics advocate, Tracey Spicer has been announced as the host of the annual awards, now in their 11th year.
Nominations are free and open across five categories: business, government, education, campaign of the year, and tech for good, recognising initiatives that advance diversity and inclusion in the technology sector.
TechDiversity Foundation executive director Luli Adeyemo said the awards continue to highlight organisations and individuals working to create more inclusive technology and workplaces.
“Tracey Spicer has spent decades asking who gets heard and who gets overlooked,” she said.
“This year, we’re bringing those two things together on one stage.”
Ms Spicer, a Walkley Award-winning journalist and author of Man-Made: How the bias of the past is being built into the future, said the awards showcase technology that works for a broader population.
“The TechDiversity Awards celebrate the people who are building technology that actually works for everyone, not just the default user,” she said.
This year’s theme, “Influence Redefined, Power in Every Voice”, focuses on inclusive leadership and ensuring diverse perspectives are reflected in technology design and governance.
Finalists will present to a judging panel drawn from government, industry, education and media.
Nominations close April 30, with winners to be announced at the Sydney event on July 31.
