Digital health software provider Clintel Systems will deploy its CareRight solution to Queensland University of Technology to provide a fully integrated end-to-end PAS, EMR and billing and claiming solution for the university’s network of outpatient clinics and teaching clinic environments.

The QUT health clinics have been providing health services for the community, student training and research across five disciplines, including optometry, exercise physiology, dietetics, podiatry and psychology, for 15 years.

CareRight is set to replace a number of legacy, mixed systems with a view to streamlining and integrating records and processes across the disciplines.

A Clintel Systems spokesperson said the initial rollout will include all five disciplines, with CareRight anticipating up to 1200 concurrent users. The deployment will include a number of bespoke integrations, including EyeTalk for optometry and a student provisioning integration.

CareRight is a fully integrated patient administration system, electronic medical record and billing solution that sits within a workflow management system involving workflow control, smart forms and task management.

The spokesperson said this means CareRight can be configured to mirror client-specific requirements and workflows, documents, and clinical and business processes.

CareRight has been deployed at a number of new sites this year, including at Genea Fertility’s day surgeries, Concept Fertility Centre and Concept Day Hospital in WA, mental healthcare provider The Hobart Clinic and Newcastle’s HEAL Urgent Care Centre.

Clintel Systems has also integrated CareRight with the My Health Record system.
