Overview

Auckland University of Technology – Te Wānanga Aronui o Tāmaki Makaurau (AUT) and Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland are delighted to welcome you to Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland for the 41st annual Tertiary ICT Conference – Hui Taumata Hangarau. This year’s event will take place in the award-winning Sir Paul Reeves Building at AUT’s city campus. 

AUT, New Zealand’s leading modern university, has been a place of learning for over 120 years and officially became a university in 2000. Recognised for its innovative approach to education and real-world impact, AUT is ranked among the top 100 young universities in the world (98th equal) by Times Higher Education (THE), based on teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry connections. 

Founded in 1883, Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland is New Zealand’s largest university, with over40,000 students. It is the country’s highest-ranked university (=152) in the 2025 World University Rankings and holds an impressive 13th place in the Global Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2024.

The Tertiary ICT Conference is an excellent opportunity to engage with colleagues from across the tertiary sector, socialise, make new connections and reconnect with our education whānau.
