Breaking the Silos: The Women’s Health MedTech Summit this inaugural two-day event is dedicated to addressing long-standing gaps in research, innovation, and policy affecting women’s health in Australia. Although women make up more than half the population, their unique physiological and life-stage needs have historically been underrepresented in healthcare systems – resulting in inequities in diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes.
This Summit brings together clinicians, researchers, policymakers, innovators, startups, students, and consumer advocates to drive cross-sector collaboration. Spanning research, clinical trials, MedTech innovation, device design, policy, and translation, it provides a dedicated platform to share insights, identify gaps, and co-create practical solutions.
By championing inclusive, evidence-based innovation, the Summit will lay the groundwork for strengthening research and commercialisation pathways, supporting workforce development, and fostering sustainable growth across the MedTech sector. Aligned with national and global priorities, including the National Women’s Health Strategy 2020–2030, the Summit aims to establish a platform for advancing women’s health and shaping future priorities for MedTech in Australia.
