Enterprise Ireland (EI) has appointed a new Executive Director. Mark Christal will be responsible for the organisation’s sectoral and client solutions work. In his new role, Mr Christal will oversee the delivery of strategic services and supports to EI’s client base, as well as leading the development of new solutions through digitisation and the use of AI.
Mr Christal has held several positions within EI over a period of more than 20 years, originally serving as HR manager. His most recent position was manager of the divisions of food, sustainability and climate change. He has a Masters in Business Studies in Human Resource Management and a Masters in Politics from UCD.
Enterprise Ireland CEO Jenny Melia said: “I am delighted to confirm the appointment of Mark Christal to Enterprise Ireland’s executive team. Mark has an outstanding track record in leadership roles throughout his career. He has provided strategic leadership with an innovative approach throughout his 19 years in the organisation to date, building deep and trusted relationships with our ambitious client companies, while supporting our colleagues to deliver for our growing Irish enterprise base.
