The Alfred to fully integrate BD infusion pumps with Cerner EMR

Melbourne’s The Alfred Hospital has signed a contract with medical device manufacturer Becton Dickinson (BD) and electronic medical record vendor Cerner to implement the first bidirectional integration between BD’s Alaris infusion pumps and the Cerner EMR in Australia and New Zealand.

The Alfred is due to go live with the new process in its ICU in the next few months and may roll it out to the rest of the hospital in future.
