Sky Muster now being rolled out to rural and remote Australia

The National Broadband Network has officially launched its wholesale broadband satellite service dubbed Sky Muster, with 85,000 users expected by this time next year, including the 37,000 currently using the interim satellite service.

NBN is promising a boon to rural and remote healthcare provision with the new service, which has been designed to deliver wholesale speeds of up to 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Speeds will vary depending on retail service provider and plan.
