Royal Adelaide Hospital has completed stage three of its four-stage implementation of Allscripts' Sunrise electronic medical record, rolling out clinical documentation throughout the hospital before embarking on the final stage, electronic medications management.

The roll-out follows an implementation at Mt Gambier District Health Service in November, the first trial of a new implementation strategy for what was formerly known as the Electronic Patient Administration System (EPAS).
