Next month’s HealthTechX Asia conference in Singapore is being embraced by the Australian Association of Practice Management (AAPM) as an opportunity to expand Asia-Pacific collaboration and survey latest tech offerings in the region.

AAPM chief executive officer Miranda Grace will be exhibiting at the event and told Pulse+IT the organisation planned to highlight “the essential role of Practice Management and how it plays a part in delivering patient outcomes.”

“AAPM has an international membership and welcomes further collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region,” Ms Grace said.

“In an ever-evolving healthcare space, it is important that AAPM can engage, understand and consider how technologies are being used in practice to further enhance efficiencies and effective healthcare management.”

She noted AAPM already had international collaborations with its New Zealand neighbours and had been working to understand and embrace the greater Asia-Pacific region – in particular through its presence and meetings at the HealthTechX Asia conference in Singapore.

“The shared digital innovations are exciting and enable the Practice Management community to see what is coming, as well as digital technologies that are already in use.”

Ms Grace said AAPM intended to take away a “greater understanding of the key drivers that affect practice management in the Asia-Pacific region.”

“We will then be able to work through identifying solutions of support, education opportunities and shared knowledge,” Ms Grace said, adding there were “many interesting sessions and technologies – however, the most interesting sessions include Agentic AI in healthcare.”

“Along with the Victorian Department of Health and other industry leaders, we’ll be looking at how practices are using agentic AI – and how it is primarily accountable, as well as applying AI to workforce efficiencies and primary care digital transformation. There’s a lot of intelligence to be learned.”

Pulse+IT is an official media partner of HealthTechX Asia, taking place 6 – 7 May in Singapore.
