As Health Information Management Week 2025 #himweek25 ends today, all eyes are on the profession’s next major event. The national conference of the Health Information Management Association Australia (HIMAA) takes place from Wednesday October 29 to Friday October 31 at the QT Hotel in Canberra.
This week there was a focus on celebrating the contribution of the sector.
“Health Information Management professionals include three main professions – Clinical Coders, Clinical Documentation Specialists and Health Information Managers – who all make a valuable contribution to our healthcare system,” HIMAA CEO Sallyanne Wissmann said.

“By celebrating National Health Information Management Week 2025 and appreciating the invaluable contributions of Health Information Management professionals, we can create a culture that honours their expertise, fosters their professional growth, and strengthens their commitment to advancing healthcare delivery.”
