Share your research and achievements and make an impact on the future of Australian healthcare by submitting an abstract to the National Health Information Management Conference (HIMAA26), taking place in Sydney, from 26-28 October 2026.
The Health Information Management Association of Australia (HIMAA) has officially opened its Call for Abstracts under the theme “‘Connect & Collaborate – Transforming Data into Better Care”. The theme reflects the critical role of collaboration, data and digital innovation in improving health outcomes, system performance and patient experience.
HIMAA26 is a leading national and international forum for collaboration, innovation and leadership in health information, data and digital health. The conference brings together professionals working across clinical care, research, governance, analytics, technology, education and policy to share practical insights, evidence-based research and real-world solutions.
Peak body HIMAA says a broad range of contributors are invited to share their insights and innovations, including:
- Health information and data professionals
- Clinicians and health service leaders
- Digital health, analytics and AI specialists
- Researchers, academics and educators
- Policy, governance and quality professionals
- Students and early-career practitioners
Key topic areas include interoperability, data governance and quality, privacy and ethical data use, analytics and artificial intelligence, clinical documentation and coding, patient-centred digital engagement, workforce transformation, and future-focused innovation in health information and care delivery.
Submissions are due by March 1, with authors notified of outcomes by March 30, 2026.
All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer review, with successful contributors featuring in the conference program and proceedings and will be eligible to earn CPD points.
