Victoria's largest ever regional hospital development, the $630 million Bendigo Hospital, has been completed a month ahead of schedule, allowing extra time for simulation exercises and readiness testing before patients are transferred in at the end of January.

The new hospital will roll out InterSystems' TrakCare electronic medical record at the end of 2017, with a digital medical record (DMR) solution from Vitro Software currently being used as an interim measure at the existing hospital.
