Join us for a special Aotearoa New Zealand Town Hall with Members of Parliament on Tuesday, 6 October 2026, 7pm – 8pm NZDT to hear directly from political representatives about their health priorities and plans for the future of the health workforce.

The Town Hall will open with a brief overview of participating MPs’ party priorities and commitments for health, followed by a discussion of the RACP’s Let Us Care campaign. We’ll then explore the campaign’s three asks for strengthening Aotearoa New Zealand’s specialist workforce: a 10-year legislated workforce plan, a sustainable specialist workforce, and rural and regional training pathways.

The discussion will be moderated by Aotearoa New Zealand President-Elect A/Professor Janak de Zoysa. MPs will share their parties’ approaches to these priorities and respond to questions submitted by RACP members in advance.

We have invited candidates from across the political spectrum and secured the health spokespeople for the Labour Party, Opportunity Party, ACT, NZ First and the Greens.
