Trial of SMS messaging from GPs to increase bowel cancer screening

The Victorian Cancer Agency (VCA) is funding a trial of patient narrative SMS messaging in five general practices in western Victoria to test whether it can improve rates of bowel cancer screening.

The trial will use Healthily's GoShare platform to send an SMS containing testimonial videos endorsing the benefits of cancer screening to people over 50 who have been sent the bowel cancer test kit.
