Fred to launch WhatsApp prescription ordering at APP this week

Pharmacy IT solution vendor Fred IT will launch its new WhatsApp-based prescription ordering system for electronic prescriptions at the Australian Pharmacy Professional (APP) conference on the Gold Coast this week.

The solution is thought to be the first in Australia to use the WhatsApp messaging platform for prescription dispensing requests and will use WhatsApp’s chatbot function to let patients choose which script to request and when.
