The HITH Society Australasia is pleased to announce that the 18th HITH Annual Scientific Meeting will be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart, from 17 – 19 November 2026. This is the Annual Scientific Meeting for the sector – bringing together clinicians, innovators, researchers and leaders in Hospital in the Home from across Australia and beyond.
Under Tasmania’s vast southern skies, a new vision for HITH is emerging – one that is agile, patient-focused and ready for tomorrow. The 2026 theme, From the Wilderness to the Mainstream, captures both the raw beauty and promise of the island and the bold ambition of our field to redefine how acute care is delivered outside traditional hospital walls.
This year’s meeting will explore the expanding scope of HITH in an increasingly complex world. Delegates will delve into innovative models, emerging technologies and evolving multidisciplinary approaches that are reshaping home-based care. Surrounded by world-class food, breathtaking landscapes and a city known for quiet innovation, attendees will have the opportunity to connect, reflect and help steer the next frontier of healthcare transformation.
Located on Hobart’s picturesque waterfront and just 20 minutes from Hobart Airport, the Hotel Grand Chancellor offers stunning harbour views, a vibrant cultural precinct at its doorstep and state-of-the-art meeting facilities. Its central location ensures delegates can continue conversations and networking well beyond the close of each conference day, with easy access to Salamanca Place, MONA ferry departures and Tasmania’s iconic culinary scene.
The HITH Society Australasia acknowledges the Muwinina People, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we will meet and pays respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
