Welcome to the 20th IFHIMA Congress 2023

Event Date:
29/10/2023 12:00 pm

IFHIMA and HIMAA are delighted to welcome health information professionals from around the world to join us in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia 29 October to 1 November 2023 for the 20th IFHIMA Congress. As a founding member nation of IFHIMA, HIMAA is delighted to have the next Congress return to Australia and hosted in Queensland’s sunny capital which offers up a laidback charm and urban energy with a dash of adventure. Brisbane is only an hour away from the famous Gold Coast beaches and a gateway to the Australian Outback.

We are pleased to announce our theme for 2023 to be ‘Advancing global health: in pursuit of high quality digital information’.

This event brings many opportunities for sharing your expertise, professional enrichment, expanding horizons, and of course to experience the outstanding hospitality of Australia. Past IFHIMA Congress attendees routinely comment about the outstanding networking opportunities at the Congresses and expanded horizons they gain from the interactive nature of the Congress.

Your participation may take several forms such as:

  • Submitting an abstract for a speaking slot in a stream/track
  • Submitting an abstract for a workshop
  • Preparing a poster to illustrate key achievements or research

The exhibition will include Australian and international vendors sharing their latest innovations and products that address analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, clinical coding and documentation improvement, ICD-10 and ICD-11 software, privacy and security, and much more.
