MedAdvisor secures exclusive deal with medical device supplier iHealth

ASX-listed medication adherence app vendor MedAdvisor has signed up with mHealth pioneer iHealth to integrate its apps and medical devices with MedAdvisor’s new pharmacy-focused PlusOne platform.

iHealth is best known for its wireless home monitoring devices such as blood pressure and blood glucose monitors, body analysis scales, pulse oximeters and activity and sleep trackers, as well as its MyVitals app, which has been integrated into Apple’s HealthKit.

In a statement to the stock exchange, MedAdvisor said it will be the exclusive pharmacy app partner in Australia, and in association with Propell, iHealth’s distributor in Australia and New Zealand, will support the roll out of the iHealth range to pharmacies and appropriate patients.

MedAdvisor said patients will be able to view results from the iHealth devices through their MedAdvisor application, making it easier for users to manage their health data. MedAdvisor’s technology also allows them to share data with their pharmacy and their GP.

The company is soon to launch a new health service ‘hub’ called PlusOne, which its says will enable pharmacies to stay connected with their customers. Pharmacies will also be able to order iHealth devices through the MedAdvisor app.
